This Privacy Policy describes how Whigs ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Whigs mobile application (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

Information We Collect

Account Information

If you create an account to play online multiplayer, we collect:

• Username — a unique name you choose for identification
• Password — stored as a one-way cryptographic hash; we never store plain-text passwords
• Display name — the name shown to other players
• Game statistics — wins, losses, win rate, streaks, rank points, and hands played

You may also play as a guest without creating an account. Guest play does not require a username or password, but your game statistics will not be persisted across sessions.

Google Play Games Services

If you sign in with Google Play Games, Google may share your player ID and profile with the App. We use this to:

• Display your Play Games identity in the App
• Unlock achievements and submit scores to leaderboards

Your Google Play Games data is managed by Google according to Google's Privacy Policy. We do not store your Google credentials.

Gameplay Data

During online multiplayer games, the App transmits game state (cards played, bids, scores) to our server to facilitate real-time play. This data is ephemeral and is deleted when the game room closes.

Device and Usage Data

We collect limited technical information necessary to operate the App, including:

• Device model and Android version (for compatibility)
• Network connection status (for multiplayer connectivity)
• App crash and performance data via Google Play's standard reporting

How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account
• To match you with other players for online multiplayer games
• To track and display game statistics, achievements, and leaderboard rankings
• To maintain a fair and competitive environment
• To improve the App's performance and stability

Advertising

Data Storage and Security

Your account data and game statistics are stored on our cloud infrastructure (Cloudflare Workers with Durable Objects). Passwords are hashed using industry-standard cryptographic algorithms and are never stored in plain text. Game room data is ephemeral and is not persisted after a game ends.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We share data only in the following circumstances:

• Google Play Games Services — player ID and profile data is shared with Google as part of achievements and leaderboards
• Google AdMob — device and usage data as described in the Advertising section above
• Legal requirements — if required by law or to protect our rights and safety

Your Rights

• Access — You may request a copy of your account data at any time
• Deletion — You may request deletion of your account and associated data
• Guest play — You may use the App as a guest without creating an account
• Opt out of ads — You can opt out of personalized ads through your Google account settings

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

Permissions Used by the App

• INTERNET — Required for online multiplayer and ad delivery
• ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE — Checks network connectivity for multiplayer

The App does not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, location, or files.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
